Independence

Young Optics Inc’s Internal Audit Office is an independent unit that reports directly to the Board of Directors. Besides reporting their audit operations to the members of audit committee monthly, they attend and deliver reports to the Board of Directors’ meetings on a regular basis.

Goal and scope

The goal of Internal Audit is to review the internal controls in the company’s process, report these controls with respect to adequacy, effectiveness, and efficiency of the control itself and suggest the improvement actions . All parties of the company and its subsidiaries are open for review by Internal Audit.

Prime task

The annual audit plan is made according to the laws and the result of risk assessments, and approved by the Board of Directors. The majority of the audit work is executed according to the annual plan, filing the evidence, reporting, fully communicating the result to the audited departments’ supervisor, and acquiring their improvement action. Internal Audit evaluates the actual actions take place, and reviews the submissions to ensure the quality of process. The company supplements the audit with self-assessed documentations of departments and operational units. It then consolidates the results of the self-assessments for the chairman the Board of Directors, and the Audit Committee.
